Vitali Klitschko Leaves Boxing, Vacates WBC World Heavyweight



Ukrainian boxer Vitali Klitschko ( 45-2-1 , 41 KO ) had to take a final decision on his belt WBC heavyweight champion and defense of the title against his mandatory challenger, Quebec boxer Bermane Stiverne ( 23-1-1 , 20 KO ) .

In the absence of a clear decision of the Ukrainian boxer who is currently engaged in his country as a politician , the World Boxing Council (WBC) has decided to give Klitschko champion emeritus status , leaving at the same time its vacant WBC belt . The status of champion emeritus Vitali Klitschko will allow to obtain the immediate right to fight against the next holder of the WBC belt, he wants to return the ring.

No. 2 in the rankings of the WBC , the Quebec boxer Bermane Stiverne have the right to fight for the WBC heavyweight belt . Stiverne could face one of two American boxer Chris Arreola ( 36-3, 31 KO ) or Deontay Wilder ( 30-0 , 30 KO ) as co- challenger title of world champion. Last April, Stiverne and Arreola had already faced, Stiverne had won clearly points with a unanimous decision of three arbitrators.
