Some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, including David Beckham and Stevie Wonder, attended a lavish gala to celebrate Muhammad Ali's 70th birthday.
Ali, who is one of the world's most recognizable sportsman, turned 70 last month in his home state of Kentucky where he had another celebration.
With a price of $1,500-a-plate this gala was held with the purpose of gather founds for the Ali’s foundation in Louisville and Cleveland Clinic where take place research of brain diseases and Parkinson, desease that Ali sufferes sinces 1984.
Beckham, Wonder, actor Samuel L. Jackson and football player Jim Brown were among the 2,000 guests in attendance who showed their appreciating and admiration for Ali and his legacy at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino where Ali won 7 title fights
Ali, who was born as Cassius Clay in Louisville on January 17, 1942, he changed his name to Muhammad Ali when he turned into Islamism in1964.
In November, the heavyweight great was briefly hospitalized in Phoenix, where doctors treated him for dehydration.
That came a few days after Ali attended the funeral of his old rival Joe Frazier, who died of liver cancer in Philadelphia on November 8.
Earlier this month, Ali's former trainer Angelo Dundee died at age 90.
